Suzanne Tye
Director of Development
Suzanne came to The Marylhurst School in 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Teaching Certification in Secondary Education from Pacific Lutheran University. Suzanne spent 10 years learning the fundraising and friendraising ropes in the Bay Area during the dot com boom…a great time to be in development! After her time in the Bay Area, Suzanne spent several years while her two sons were young serving as an active volunteer and board member at various schools and nonprofits. Prior to coming to TMS, Suzanne spent four years working in Special Education at Rosemont Ridge Middle School. Suzanne is thrilled that at Marylhurst she is able to combine her two professional passions, fundraising and education. A West Linn resident of 17 years, Suzanne lives with her husband, sons, and energetic Golden Retriever. She enjoys snowshoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, volunteering with Boy Scouts and Oregon State Beavers football. She is also an avid reader and enjoys taking care of her flower beds.
Please reach out to Suzanne with questions about: fundraising, Parent Association advisory, volunteerism, the quarterly newsletter, and donor management and cultivation.
