Our Students

The student body represents 30 different zip codes throughout Clackamas and
Multnomah counties with the majority of families coming from Southeast Portland and Milwaukie, Oregon City and West Linn/Lake Oswego. After Marylhurst, students move on to private, parochial and public schools throughout the greater Portland area.

Our Faculty

Our student-to-teacher ratio is 8 to 1. All faculty are experienced educators
who care deeply about children and the field of education. Teachers participate
in professional development annually, have a long tenure with our school—on
average 10 years and more—and 40% hold graduate degrees. The Marylhurst
philosophy and curriculum attract faculty who are committed to our educational
values and to fully supporting each and every child.

Our Families

As it takes time and energy to support a thoughtful educational program, Marylhurst parents are as much a part of the school community as their students. We value the bonds our parents have with faculty and students, connections with the school and each other, and their friendships within our community. Families commit to volunteering 10 service hours annually, to reading school and classroom newsletters, and to partnering with teachers as needed. Parents make significant and needed contributions to the school both in and out of the classroom.
